M20 Johannesburg Declaration handed over to President Ramaphosa

Ahead of the upcoming G20 Leaders’ Summit, the M20 Johannesburg Declaration, of which CINIA is a signatory, was presented to President Cyril Ramaphosa, by Media Monitoring Africa (now Moxii Africa) and the South African National Editors’ Forum (SANEF).

The M20 Johannesburg Declaration calls for the global prioritisation of information integrity for the public good.

Presented to the President by William Bird, director of Moxii Africa, and Makhudu Sefara, SANEF chairperson, the handover offered an opportunity to emphasise the need for G20 leaders to be presented with the issues raised in the declaration.
